The Most Pro-Gun Administration in Generations

Trump’s 2nd term (3rd election victory) is the most pro-gun administration in generations. Having been born during Reagan’s presidency, and having Reagan sign the outlaw of machine guns made after 1986 while I was still a baby, I can say Trump’s 2nd term is looking like the best for gun rights in my life so far.

With the Executive Order on the 2nd Amendment, the settlement of the FRT (forced reset trigger) lawsuit, the pro-2A Amicus Brief to SCOTUS, and the DoJ civil rights investigation into Los Angeles, California for CCW license practices, this is looking to be the most hopeful time for gun ownership in decades and decades. Of course we want more, and not everything they have done has been perfect, but we notice a real responsiveness to the Second Amendment community unseen before.

Does the Trump administration understand what’s at stake? The country, politically, has been tearing at the seams for years. Free Citizens are tired of the lies, weaponization, waste, fraud, abuse, and violations of especially the federal government, but also the state governments. Gun control is a huge part of this frustration. Indeed, this nation was founded on physical rebellion to gun control. Gun control risks starting another revolution.

No American can afford to trust any politician, any administration, any leader at any time.

We must always be suspicious, watchful, and vigilant regarding all who hold power in our free country. We must always labor to improve an imperfect system designed, primarily, to secure individual human rights. Our work as Citizens never ends and must continue generation after generation. Traditional allies of freedom have been failing as they arrest, charge, convict, and imprison preachers and silent prayers as well as Internet critics voicing their opinions.

The purpose of the 2nd Amendment is two-fold:

1. Enshrining the Necessary Duty of Having and Being the Militia

The Second Amendment stands out in the Bill of Rights as the only one that mentions a duty and responsibility. The “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State…” beginning  (prefatory clause) has no analogue in the rest of the Bill of Rights. All of the other amendments list rights detached from responsibility.

The use of the word necessary is telling it like it is: have a Militia or you can’t have freedom. Yet so few 2nd Amendment activists and passionate supporters, volunteers, and champions like to talk about this. Fewer yet attempt to embody and embrace and practice this responsibility and duty. The framers weren’t talking about concealed carry pistols worn by everyday people going about their lives when they used the word Militia. They were talking about Citizens bearing military-grade arms in groups and practicing and being prepared. This was meant to take place on public land in full, open view.

The first purpose of the wording in the 2nd Amendment is to remind everyone of the necessity of having and being Militia. In order to have a free state, the People must be the Militia with military arms openly carried in public and be well regulated as in equipped, trained, and ready.

2. Enshrining the right to arms, a natural right and prerequisite to the Militia

This is the one every likes and talks about. This is the fun part: the owning cool guns, building a collection, going shooting, and carrying for personal defense and to contribute to the collective security. Everyone in the 2A community likes to talk about the rights and even exercise some of them, some of the time, in some places.

This right is a natural right. It is ancient, preexisting speech and other rights. Each has just as much right to pick up, keep, and hold a rock or a stick as much as the other. It goes back that far. It is the right to protect life with more than just bear hands. It is as basic and fundamental as the right to breathe.

It is tied together with the duty/responsibility beginning of the 2nd Amendment, because the necessary Militia depends upon the right to bear arms in public without being molested (having the right infringed) in any way, shape, or form. If government can infringe on the universal human right to arms, it has banned the Militia. If it has banned the Militia, it may take away freedom and security from the People, subjecting them to servitude of the oligarchical state.

The US is probably at a pivotal crossroads: responsibility with freedom or surrender with disintegration

In just one decade the US has experienced widespread rioting with destruction and violence, mass illegal immigration, fake corporate news, spying on the leading candidate, lawfare, sexualization of children, hoaxes, assassination attempts, coerced or forced medical treatment, lockdowns, official censorship, a stolen election, rampant inflation and spending, a sick and mentally-incompetent phony president, mass sickness and death from a lab-created virus, well-coordinated artificial racial tension, indoctrination and radicalization of children in schools, sexual mutilation of and experimentation on children, and much more.

The well regulated Militia may, indeed, be necessary in the coming years. KeepAndBear.org is recommending to all gun owners and all American Citizens in general to prepare for war. There is likely to be a civil war or perhaps what would be considered the second revolutionary war in the US. We hope the grave challenges this country faces can be resolved without fighting, but we aren’t confident. We must work to resolve them and prevent war. Being prepared to fight is one of the best ways to avoid having to do it. Forget the gun collections: focus on survival supplies, medicine, equipment, skills, battle weapons, ammunition, and training.

We have to get to work as Citizens to restore the Republic, which is in real peril. We need to exercise our rights openly and nullify gun control through civil disobedience. The Trump administration would do well to prosecute state actors with criminal civil rights violation under 18 U.S.C. § 241 and 242. This would stop the infringement of the 2nd Amendment dead in its place. No officer, prosecutor, or judge would wish to be charged with the federal crime of violating individuals of their right to arms if this were threatened and enforced once or twice to the inevitable tyrant who ignores the warning.
